To refresh your memory before Season 2 of Shameless premieres on Sunday, at the end of Season 1, Steve was trying to convince Fiona to skip town with him to the beautiful and care-free Costa Rica. A pretty enticing offer, I’d say. Initially, she decided to go, but then changed her mind to stay with her family. A noble decision, but is it really the best one? If I were in her shoes, I’d have a tough time making that choice too. On one hand, she’s still a kid and should be able to pick up and start her own life somewhere else. But on the other hand, since her father is worthless, her family really depends on her. So leaving wouldn’t just mean starting a new life, but potentially destroying that of her siblings. So, in the end, it was the right choice I think, but we’ll see how it pans out in Season 2.
